Stanley “Dale” Uptegrove was referred to Job Point in 2008 by Jayne Young of Vocational Rehabilitation for career exploration to determine an appropriate job goal within his skill and interest areas. Dale had an excellent work history, having worked ten years at a long term care facility, which earned him Job Point’s 1999 Award of Excellence. He initially worked as a Dietary Aid, then after obtaining his General Equivalency Diploma, became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Unfortunately, due to physical limitations resulting from a traumatic brain injury caused by an automobile accident in 1998, Dale was no longer able to continue in his CNA position.
