Job Point Awarded Three-year CARF Accreditation - June 24, 2010

CARF International announced Job Point has been accredited for a period of three years for its Vocational Evaluation, Employee Development, Employment Skills Training, Community Employment, and Employment Transition programs.  This latest accreditation is the 11th consecutive Three-Year Accreditation outcome the international accrediting commission has awarded to Job Point.

This outcome represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows substantial conformance to the standards established by CARF.  An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation outcome has put itself through a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that its programs and services are of the highest quality, measurable and accountable.

Surveyors commended the organization, stating “Job Point has experienced, knowledgeable staff members who display a genuine passion for the mission.  Persons served are treated with respect and dignity and consistently report a high level of satisfaction.  The organization is complimented for the numerous community partners, strong relationships with referral and funding sources, and for establishing a long list of diverse employer that genuinely accept clients into their employment settings.  The organization has an excellent reputation and the business development model being introduced is producing outstanding results.  The programs operate in a seamless, blended manner, as all components complement and support one another.  Highly dedicated individuals who comprise the board of directors unselfishly and voluntarily give of their time to govern Job Point.  Solid business practices and meaningful financial management continue to guide Job Point toward fiscal solvency.  The organization is complimented for the Office Technology program, which is built upon a flexible schedule and individual instruction.”  And, Job Point received the very rare and prestigious honor of a formal commendation for its YouthBuild program, as “quite impressive and deserving of an exemplary conformance to the standards.”

CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of the persons served.  Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, the accrediting body establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.
