Civic Youth Corps Expands to Cole and Montgomery Counties - May 20, 2013

Job Point’s Civic Youth Corps (CYC) has expanded to reach Cole and Montgomery Counties.  Tiffany Austin, CYC Counselor, is serving the Jefferson City area from Job Point’s new office at 514 E. High Street, Ste. 21.   This restorative justice program serves youth ages 18-21 who have:

  • Had contact with the juvenile office in the past year, OR
  • In foster care, AND an offender before age 17

Participants can:

  • Earn $$ while in the program
  • Complete 3-4 month work internship
  • Get your GED
  • Prepare for employment or college
  • Develop leadership and life skills
  • Conduct community service

The expansion into Montgomery County is in partnership with Missouri Division of Youth Services and Montgomery Youth Correctional Center.  Services include:

  • Comprehensive Assessment
  • Community Service
  • Counseling
  • Career Development
  • Education with the Goal of High School Diploma
  • Work Experience
  • Parenting Classes
  • Financial Literacy
