Job Point proudly announced its 2011 Award Recipients during its Annual Banquet at the Donald W. Reynolds Alumni Center on February 28th. From nearly 1,000 persons served, two individuals were honored with an Award of Excellence for exemplary vocational and personal achievement. Laura Gregory of Fulton is a Bakery Associate at Wal-Mart. James “Scott” Smith of Columbia is employed with Chester Bross. Job Point salutes these phenomenal individuals for their determination in overcoming significant barriers to employment! Carol Rothove, Employment Services Manager, of Jefferson City was honored as the Employee of the Year for her outstanding contribution in promoting Job Point’s mission. Columbia Daily Tribune was selected as the Employer of the Year for promoting the abilities of individuals seeking employment and greater participation in community life. Marshall Senior Center was honored as Partner of the Year for their outstanding support. Norm Ruebling of Columbia was acknowledged as Volunteer of the Year for his invaluable contributions.
